Icos

ICOS Vision Systems develops and markets computer vision and inspection systems for controlling the production of integrated circuits and pcb's. ICOS has solidly anchored itself in the semi-conductor and electronics industry of the United States ('86), Japan ('89) and Southeast Asia ('92), and its customer list includes most of the world's major IC manufacturers. With a turnover of 1,245 billion BEF in 1997, ICOS is strengthening its position among the world's top computer vision systems manufacturers.

ICOS's strong growth is supported by 180 enthusiastic employees, 110 of whom are located in Heverlee. ICOS was thus in '97 rightly chosen as one of the 20 best employers in Flanders. Other crowning moments in the past year included winning the 'Company of the Year' award and ICOS's successful introduction on the New York NASDAQ exchange, in July '98 followed by its listing on the EASDAQ exchange.

GeoAutomation

GeoAutomation is a cooperation between the University of Leuven and SPC, the Engineering Office Patrick Casier, both located in Leuven. This company, founded in 2007, combines the technological and operational know-how of both partners. The result of this mix is a hi-tech and efficient solution to many surveying and measuring needs.

GeoAutomation has developed a mobile-mapping system that allows efficient and accurate measurements to be performed that can be imported into GIS systems. To this end GeoAutomation disposes of a recording system, mounted on a van.
GeoAutomation provides georeferenced images of the surveyed area, as well as surveying tools that work with these images.
