Application

In order to get employed, you have to fill out three online documents
(for special cases the extra required documents will be requested later on).

1. online e-Solicitation form (click on English)
   Via that web page you have to register yourself first.
   With the registration number that is e-mailed to you, you can fill in the solicitation form.
   After filling it out correctly you will receive a confirmation e-mail with a sollicitation number and information attached.
   Forward that e-mail with attachments and sollicitation number to your contact person or the secretary of the research division
   
   Please make sure that the following information is filled-out completely and that the required documents are attached. Without this information your application can not be processed correctly and can delay the procedure.
   • List each university study year separately, so it is clear if it is a 4 year or a 5 year program
   • Include title of thesis work
   • Copy of diploma (translated in English)
   • Copy of results of each university study year
   • Proof of knowledge of English: e.g. TOEFL or other proof
   If available:
   • List of publications
   • Professional experience
   • Reference letter
2. Application form
   (not required when graduated at KULeuven and Belgian nationality)
   Fill in as much as possible.
   Make a printout and send also a copy of the printout of the application form with the requested documents to your contact person or the secretary of the research division
3. Ask your contact person or the secretary of the research division for the information so that you can inform the departemental secretary: send an e-mail to deptsec with the following info: Promotor(s) and research division.
   Later on the departmental secretary will contact you to fill out the document Request for PhD
   Fill in as much as possible.
   Enclosed in the field "Short description of the intended doctoral research" put the description and indicate your interest in courses for which you could be assigned for to guide exercises or practical work (OPS). Select about three courses (together with your possible promoter) of which is at least one of the Electrical Engineering Bachelor course and one of an Electrical Engineering course of which the responsible teacher is not of the selected research division. Effort is done to assign as much as possible to the requests, but it can not be guaranteed.

   Make a printout and send also a copy of the printout of the application form with the requested documents to your contact person or the secretary of the research division.
